Slots have there own slang terms that regular slot players use. If you play slots it would be wise to learn these terms and what they mean.
Reels are the number of wheels or reels that you can see on the slot machine. Most slots have 3 or 5 reels.
A RNG, which stands for Random Number Generator, is the software used to predict the result of a spin. The purpose of a RNG is randomly select numbers and symbols for each spin of the wheel. Each possible result has a set number of combination that will cause it to happen. The higher prizes have less combinations then prize of lesser value.
A short win is when someone hit a big jackpot after several small wins.
A slot schedule is the information shown on how you win on that slot machine. It will give you the information on what denomination and win amounts are possible for the machine.
A slot cycle is the percentage of money the machine will payback throughout the fiscal year. While it will even out at the end of the year the winning percentage can change throughout the year. At one time it could be paying back at the rate of 60% and then start to payout at a rate of 120%.
